Well the time has finally come. The time to start planning our wedding! I never in a million years thought that I would be a pregnant bride but here I am, 7 months pregnant and going to marry the father of my children and the most wonderful man I’ve ever met. We want to get married before the baby comes so we have set the date for next month, which means we have a little less than 4 weeks to plan! I am a little nervous thinking about all of things that need to be done in such a short amount of time but I think we can do it. We just sent in our deposit last week to secure the date and venue, and so far we have managed to get our guest list down and have also hired a photographer who is a great friend of ours and owns her own photography business.
We are going to keep it very small, just family and close friends since we are on a limited budget due to the baby coming and some home renovations we’re doing to prepare. So I plan on getting crafty and doing some of the decor myself. I want to customize some of our glasses that we will use will use for toasts for that evening, and maybe even my bouquet.
My sister has offered to do my centerpieces. And I will probably turn to Etsy for a personalized wedding cake topper. I included some pictures of things that I have seen so far that I will use for inspiration I guess looking at all this it seems like we’re going for a more rustic look.
I think due to the short notice we are going to skip traditional wedding invitations and just setup a wedding website for RSVP’s. I have also seen some online registries for Wishing Wells, which we may consider since we already have most of everything we need right now in our home. Any thoughts on this?
And finally to the dress. I will need to find a find a maternity wedding dress! Since the ceremony is going to take place outside I will most likely opt out for anything too traditional and keep it cool and summery. Rick is still on the fence about his attire. We will have to do some major planning this week.
Any tips or advice on planning a wedding in such a short amount of time?
