I can’t believe it’s been 2 months already that the baby was born. She’s gotten so big, she’s lifting her head and getting so strong. When she’s laying down, she’s already trying to roll over. She’s such an overachiever 
It took a while for my first to roll over…
It’s amazing the bond between them already. I had no idea what to expect when I found out we were expecting again so soon after my first daughter was born. I didn’t know if she would be jealous, if she would even care about the baby.
But she loves her sister, I can see it and feel it.
It’s so amazing to watch.
She hugs her whenever she has the chance. When the baby starts crying, she will go to her, talk to her and the baby gets quiet and listens. When I am holding baby in my arms, she rubs her head softly, and she even tries patting her on the back to burp her. Haha, she has to be mimicking me.
The sweetest thing I have seen is at random times she will go over to her baby sister, take her blanket and rub it back and forth over her mouth as if she’s wiping it. She must have seen me do it hundreds of times already.
I am shocked to see the little girl she has blossomed into.
My favorite thing about this age is that she is happy all the time. Everything makes her smile and laugh. It melts my heart to see her reach up for me to carry her, or how she runs to me and tries to wedge between my legs because one of the dogs is chasing her, a safe place that she knows mommy will never let anything happen to her.
Fourteen months apart…
It’s hard for sure…
But it’s the only thing I know. And I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.
