We are celebrating my daughters 6th birthday at the end of the month and we can’t wait! She wants a unicorn theme this time around, so we ordered a bunch of cute things that I will show you in the next birthday post. Today I want to share with you the birthday lanyards we made for her class. I had seen these on Etsy over the years and I always wanted to make our own because I thought they were so cute and a little different than your typical birthday invite.
Here is what they turned out like! Keep reading below for all the details.
The first thing that I did was take a photo of my daughter in her unicorn headband that we got from Target, but I have also seen similar ones on Amazon like these here. I took it against a white wall and left space because I knew that I’d be writing text over it. You can also adjust the crop or space in a program like Photoshop. I added text using Photoshop but you can also do it simply in Paint on your computer. The next thing I did was print out the photos on photo paper in 3.5 x 5 size.
For the actual lanyard badges, I found these here on Amazon that worked perfectly for a 3.5 x 5 photo. The pack came with 50, which was more than what I needed, but since we are also making these for my other daughter’s birthday in July, it was cheaper to buy them in bulk.
For the lanyard straps, I found these 17-inch long straps here on Amazon. They are quick-release, came in assorted colors and the perfect length for kids.
We love the way they came out and can’t wait for the party!
